In a bizarre partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous changes echo through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This release also introduces the game's third complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
